What is a Parent PLUS Loan?

About Parents PLUS loans:

A Parent PLUS loan is not for students as it is designed to help parents pay for their child’s college education. The amount of the loan will depend on how much the college tuition costs, how much student aid the student is currently receiving and such. It basically boils down to the amount that the parent needs to fill in the gap of what is owed for their child’s full time or part time college funding.
ParentPLUS loans will begin the repayment schedule immediately.
