Good SAT and ACT scores:
For most colleges it seems they really focus on just the GPA and SAT scores of the student. Everything else may be considered additional. Of course a high school diploma is necessary at most colleges. Some surprisingly do not even require a diploma. 2000+ SAT score would make a great impression as well as 25+ ACT, and 2.9+ GPA at many schools. Try to shoot for the best GPA and SAT scores you can. You will want all the options you can get.
